Horizons Bricks is a future method that leverages the concept of anticipatory behavior for the development of anticipatory strategies, ideally suited for organizations that want to thrive in times of increasing uncertainty.

Designed and developed in partnership with Skopìa Anticipation Services – startup headed by Prof. Roberto Poli, Unesco Chair for Anticipating Systems – Horizons Bricks® is a workshop that answers two fundamental questions:

How can we perceive signs of futures in the present that allow us to make anticipatory strategic choices?

How can we concretely ensure that the future has a weight in our decisions?

Participants explore the environment in which the organization operates and the context within which it is called to make decisions, taking note of the path that has led them to today and the wishes / objectives concerning the future.

awareness

Participants become aware of the complexity characterizing the system within which the organization is called upon to operate. In a safe environment, different scenarios and the actions to be taken in response to internal and external stimuli to your organization will be tested , so to arrive to a list of “guiding principles”.

Participants develop the anticipatory strategy, defining the steps to be taken as well as times and parameters to monitor its effectiveness. The acquired mindset and the insights collected will make it possible to monitor actions over time according to the change of context, in order to guarantee a high level of adaptability and organizational resilience.
